About me and my babies

Welcome to Tails and Tiny Toes — a cozy corner of the internet where fur and family come together.

I’m Chloe, a first-time mama-to-be and longtime dog mom to my four-year-old American Bully mix, Luna. She’s sweet, snuggly, a little stubborn, and fiercely loyal — with a sprinkle of reactivity we’ve been working on together. 💪

As I prepare for life with a newborn, I realized just how many questions come up when you’re expecting a baby and already have a dog—especially a strong, sensitive pup like mine. From navigating daily routines to setting boundaries and building independence, this journey is filled with lessons, love, and lots of adjustments (for both of us!).

Why I Started This Blog

Tails and Tiny Toes was born from my own search for support and honest advice. Most parenting blogs don’t talk about dogs. Most dog blogs don’t mention babies. And I knew there had to be more of us — dog moms transitioning into baby moms — figuring it all out one belly rub and burp cloth at a time.

Here, I share:

  • Tips for preparing your dog for baby’s arrival

  • Real-life stories from pregnancy with a pup by my side

  • Product recommendations for dogs, babies, and life in between

  • A little humor, a lot of heart, and no judgment

Whether you’re managing reactivity, planning out routines, or wondering if your pup will ever stop trying to sit on your pregnancy pillow (she won’t), you’re in the right place.

Let’s Walk This Path Together

This is more than just a blog — it’s a space for all of us navigating the messy, magical overlap between pet parenting and motherhood. Because no one should feel alone in this transition.

Grab a cup of tea (or reheat it for the third time — I get it), cuddle up with your pup, and stay awhile. You’re always welcome here. 💛
